Gary Davis

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Gary “Litefoot” Davis has spent more than three decades building Tribal economic sovereignty at the intersection of finance, commerce, media, and innovation. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, he serves as Executive Director of the Native American Financial Services Association (NAFSA), a role he has held for nearly a decade.

Prior to NAFSA, Davis served as President & CEO of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED), having previously served on its Board of Directors. In that role, he led the nation’s largest Tribal business advocacy organization and oversaw its Reservation Economic Summit (RES). He has twice testified before the U.S. Senate and held leadership roles across Tribal gaming, enterprise development, and energy policy. His federal appointments include the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Council on Underserved Communities and Ambassadorships to the Department of Energy’s “Equity in Energy” and “Minorities in Energy” initiatives.

Davis’s fluency in both federal policy and emerging digital finance positions NAFSA to lead through the next regulatory era – from blockchain and stablecoins to digital lending and sovereign fintech infrastructure.
