Native American Financial Services Association Launches Digital Financial Literacy Program
NAFSA launches financial literacy tool
Washington D.C – September 19, 2018 – The Native American Financial Services Association (NAFSA) announces the launch of an interactive, online financial literacy program that provides everyone a unique opportunity to increase their knowledge about business and personal finances.
Too many consumers mismanage their budgets, make poor investment decisions, and fail to properly plan for the future. NAFSA is committed to empowering people with the skills they need to change this trend and thrive financially.
“Lack of financial literacy and education in America is a major problem. Through this innovative financial literacy program, we want to provide a resource that encourages all people to take control of their finances and empowers them to understand how their finances work,” says Gary Davis, executive director of NAFSA. “Financial health is important, and we are very proud to be able to provide this program that benefits everyone.”
NAFSA’s Financial Literacy Program offers an assortment of digital modules covering a wide variety of financial topics, including building emergency savings, mortgage education, and retirement planning. Most modules take less than ten minutes to complete and are designed to encourage participants to build financial confidence via a series of interactive activities.
