WASHINGTON (July 15, 2013)– In a recent New York Times column entitled “Broken Promises,” former U.S. Senator from North Dakota Byron Dorgan highlights the ongoing issues facing Indian country and argues that Native American needs should be exempted from the budget sequestration sweeping the nation.
