NAFSA Executive Director Provides Keynote Address at The Gathering 2018 Business Summit

NAFSA Executive Director Gary Davis provided a keynote address at the opening session of The Gathering 2018 Business Summit. Davis spoke passionately about hope, motivation, and the future of business in Indian Country.

“It’s not about today; it’s about tomorrow. It’s not about tomorrow; it’s about next year. It’s not about next year; it’s about the next decade. It’s what are we doing to help move the needle for future generations of Native people,” Davis said. “How are we helping the conversation if we’re always doing the same thing over and over and over again? Don’t expect to get anything different but the same results over and over and over again. You want to get different? You have got to do different.”

The Gathering is the largest event hosted by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma (AICCOk) each year. Davis’ speech kicked off two full days of events at the summit. The conference includes a networking reception, trade show, business matchmaking sessions, and speakers. Attendees will gain new information and ideas from experienced business owners and leading professionals in their industries. NAFSA was also the title sponsor for this year’s summit.
